Where It All Began
Julie Clark now has her sights set on a new adventure. She said she was on her way to a speaking engagement when something gave her pause and, she thought, “Maybe I don’t want to do this anymore.” She then decided to bridge her passion for flying with another passion — dogs. Clarks Canine Care Inc. is a 501-3C nonprofit that Julie plans operating along with her boyfriend, Mike Brewer, also a pilot. Using her gift of flying, she is helping those who can’t help themselves.
Julie’s idea for Clark’s Canine Care came to her during the 2018 Paradise fire when hundreds of displaced pets had nowhere to go. Her hope is to be called upon to transport animals, not only during natural disasters but to help overcrowded shelters looking to relocate their animals to less crowded facilities throughout the country.
